National Conference on Industry 4.0 inaugurated at Kevadia, Gujarat.

Implementation of new-age technologies such as additive manufacturing, data analytics, advanced robotics and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in manufacturing is going to be the key points of discussion. The conference aims to bring in more convergence between Industry, Educational Institutions, Youth, Entrepreneurs and Policy Makers. 175 Electric Vehicles under FAME Scheme were flagged off as a part of the inauguration ceremony. What is FAME India scheme? It is an incentive scheme that encourages the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles. The full form of Fame India scheme is “Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles in India India - earlier not even among the top 50 countries in the Global Innovation Index - is ranked 40th in the world today.

India has successfully electrified 95% of district hospitals and around 90% of sub-divisional hospitals with a three-phased power supply. She quoted these facts while addressing the Second meeting of the High-Level Coalition on Health and Energy presided over by WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus. By providing electrification to 99.99% of the households in the country, India has already attained the SDG target 7.1 of providing Universal access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services by 2030. The country is already on the path to achieving 175 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by the year 2022. The next aim is to achieve 450GW of renewable energy generation capacity by 2030. "39% of India's installed capacity is from non-fossil based sources and by 2022 we will reach our target of 40%." The country is also committed to the efficient use the energy through various innovative policy measures under the overall ambit of the Energy Conservation Act 2001.

He said this at the inauguration ceremony of 'Eastern and North-Eastern Cooperative Dairy Conclave 2022' in Gangtok, Sikkim. Primary Agricultural Credit Society, PACS carry out activities like the sale of gas and petrol and the storage and marketing of dairy and farm products. With this, India is looking to earn revenue by exporting milk to neighbouring countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Presently there are only 65,000 active PACS in the country. The establishment of more PACS will go a long way in boosting not only exports but also creating employment opportunities, especially for womenfolk. Government is committed to increasing the domestic dairy market from Rs 13 lakh crore to Rs 30 lakh crore by 2027.

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) signs MoU with Japan's AIST for academic establishment.

AIIA is the apex institute of Ayurveda in India under the Ministry of AYUSH, while the AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) holds the same position in Japan. The MoU will enable both countries to promote research collaboration and build capacities in the field of the Indian Ayurvedic system of traditional medicines. AIIA already has MoUs with the European Academy of Ayurveda (Bernstein, Germany), Western Sydney University (Australia), Graz Medical University (Austria), College of Medical (UK), London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (UK), and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
