Points to know about the new IIT Delhi campus in Haryana

The grand plan was approved in a meeting chaired by Haryana CM Khattar with officials of IIT Delhi in Haryana Bhawan in Delhi.

Just so you know, Badsa already has a National Cancer Institute operating there under the AIIMS Jhajjar. The new IIT Campus will tie up with National Cancer Institute to set up new Research and Design facilities. This facility will work on developing new healthcare technologies to treat cancer more effectively.

This move is expected to dish out groundbreaking research and technologies needed for pharma companies to develop new medicines for cancer patients.

IIT Jhajjar will use medical imaging and artificial intelligence for the early and pinpoint detection of cancer tissue. This way we can remove this tissue from the body without harming or removing the affected organ in its entirety.

Moreover, research work on dental implants, hip protection devices in the elderly, prosthetic knee joints, etc will happen on campus to explore new and better technologies and diagnoses.

Haryana is known as the sports powerhouse of India with so many athletes such as boxers, wrestlers, and others emerging from here.

Sports University, Rai (Sonipat) is also closeby and the CM Khattar is hopeful that the new IIT will tie up with the Sports University to come up with technology to enhance performance, and prevent injuries of local sportspersons looking to win medals for the state and country.
