VV & M Aided Degree College, Ongole was established in 1972. It is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Prakasam and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade.

Both junior and Degree Colleges were recognized and registered separately and established in 1972. In the beginning, there was no aid in these College. Up to 1979, both the colleges were run in the same campus, which was a private site in Santhapeta, Ongole.

Only in 1979. Junior and Degree Colleges were bifurcated and r un separately. V V & M Degree College was admitted into grant-in-aid on 01-07-1978 as per G.O.Ms.No.162. V.V. & M. Degree College is affiliated to Andhra University at that time.

The institution runs according to the rules and regulations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

There Institution was affiliated permanently to Acharya Nagarjuna University from 1990 onwards.
