Vivekananda Degree College is managed by Vivekananda Educational Society under the Chairmanship of P. Muralinatha Reddy, was started by Sri Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy M.P. Kadapa with the blessings of Y.S. Family.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad accorded permission to the Vivekananda Education Society to start a private unaided Degree College at Vempalli, Cuddapah District to cater to the Educational needs of backward rural people around Vempalli.
