Virudhunagar M.S.P. Nadar College of Education was started in 2008, in pursuance of the untiring efforts taken by the Nadar community in general and Virudhunagar Hindu Nadars' Senthikumara Nadar College Managing Board in particular with the noble purpose of imparting education to teacher aspirants.

M.S.P. Nadar family, a leading business group and pioneering educationalists of Virudhunagar town has contributed Rs. Fifteen lakhs to this institution for the noble cause of education. As the institution has been started because of their munificence, the college has been fittingly named after him.

This college is administered by the Managing Board of VHNSN College, Virudhunagar. It is located in a rural area and aims at imparting quality education by emphasising updated teaching and learning programmes to the downtrodden section without discrimination of caste and creed.

This college is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers' Education University, Chennai and approved by NCTE, Bangalore. It offers B.Ed Programme in Tamil, English, History, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Commerce and Accountancy and Computer Science under Self-financing stream with an intake of 100 students and a staff strength of 18.
