Vijay Rural Engineering College (VREC), Nizamabad was established in 1997. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Jawaharlal Technological University, Hyderabad. It has been managed by Ideal Education Society.

Vijay Rural Engineering College fondly called as VREC is an engineering college established in 1997 in Nizamabad,Andhra Pradesh,India.It is 6 kilometres away from Nizamabad railway station.The college is affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad and approved by AICTE,New Delhi.It is one of the most prestigious colleges in Telangana.

VREC was established in 1997 with four branches of Computer Science Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with a capacity 0f 40 seats per branch. The initial strength of 160 improved every year and present intake is around 948 (including Diploma,MCA.MBA and M.Tech).It has been managed by Ideal Education Society.The motto and the main goal of the institute is to develop the individuals for better tomorrow.The vision of the institute is to arm young brains with competitive technology to meet the challenges of the external forces particularly in contest of liberalization,privatization and globalization and the mission of the institute is to produce quality engineers for nation's progress and development.

Ideal Education Society is found by a group of highly dedicated academicians and educated philanthropists of Nizamabad who were motivated for delivering quality and purposeful education. The Teaching staff are highly qualified and experienced with an excellent academic track record and were recruited through duly constituted panel of J.N.T.U selection process. Fifth pay UGC scales are implemented to the staff of V.R.E.C.
