Veerangna Awanti Bai College, Chhatarpur is popularly known as V. A. Bai Degree College, Chhatarpur or V.A.B. College was established on 9th July 2001 and managed by VAB Group of Education.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar. It is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal to offer B.Ed. & M.Ed. courses.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade in (cycle 1).

It is a co-educational private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Chhatarpur played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar. It also offers Postgraduate Diploma course.

The college also offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled to a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Apart from these courses, the college offers two years Master of Education (M.Ed.) course for those who have completed their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the graduation level.
