Valummel Teacher Training Institute, Wayanad was established in 2004, it works under the management of Meenakshi Charitable Trust.

The teacher training institute is recognized by General Education Department, Government of Kerala.

Valummel Teacher Training Institute Wayanad offers teacher training programme at the undergraduate level - Teacher Training Certificate (TTC).

The two-year full time programme of the institute is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Valummel Teacher Training Institute Wayanad has state-of-the-art infrastructure within its sprawling campus.
