Uttar Pradesh Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah was established on 2006 with an aim of imparting quality education and producing skilled and competent doctors with social values.

U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research is affiliated to the Chhatrapati Shahu ji Maharaj Medical University, Lucknow and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and recognized by the state government.

Uttar Pradesh Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research is a premier teaching and research institute located at Saifai village in the District of Etawah.

Uttar Pradesh Government has established Institute with one basic premise to help and implement state of art medical facility to cover rural population stretching from Mathura to Auraiya and Furrukhabad to Bhind.

This is the first of their kind setup in Rural India by any state Government to give one point solution to the health problems that is complete and comprehensive tertiary care to these millions of rural people.

The Institute has adopted the ear to ground approach and speaking the language of people (Rural India) to understand and manage them efficiently.
