Uttar Pradesh Dental College & Research Centre, Lucknow has been established by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Dr. Akhilesh Das, M.P. (Rajya Sabha) & former Mayor of Lucknow with a vision to facilitate quality dental health care education of global standards.

Babu Banarasi Das Group of Educational Institutions has been established in 1998 by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta, former Union Minister, Government of India, in the pious memory of Late Sri Babu Banarasi Das, Ex Chief Minister of U.P.
