University College of Engineering (UCET), Thodupuzha was established in 1996.

This Institute is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala.

The college UCET is a premier institute of Engineering and Technology which is being run and managed by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. When it was started, it was the first self-financing college to be started under the university.

This institute started functioning on 1996 in Thodupuzha and was later moved to its own campus at Muttom in May 2002.
