University College - Kurukshetra University, is a co-educational constituent college of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.

The Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 as a unitary residential University and its foundation stone was laid by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India.

It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) & All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is a pre-eminent college that enjoys the singular distinction of being the only college maintained & run the courses by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, which is well-reputed at the national level in general and in North India in particular.

The college deservedly prides itself on having a well-qualified teaching staff, a vastly spacious playground, and profusely equipped science laboratories.

It has come up on the most hygienic and pollution-free environment of the University Campus. It is because of these rare merits that the college attracts a huge number of admission seekers every year from all over the country.

The college has all the three faculties viz. Arts, Commerce and Science for the undergraduate students. The college has a large building including separate common room for boys and girls, canteen, and playgrounds, that help the students to stay physically fit.

The admission to the college is based on a fair and transparent system of merit. This college creates an environment where individuals can flourish and realize their potential and provide a high level of teaching provision supported by an outstanding central library and computing facilities.

It also prides in running B.A (Honours) courses, Sanskrit, English, Economics, Philosophy, and Music. The college also runs BTM, BCA and five years Integrated Courses in M.Sc Engineering Physics, M.Sc Biotechnology, and M.Sc Honours Economics, which are receiving an overwhelming response from the students and are opening fresh avenues for the placement in private, public sector, and abroad.

Except for UG honors courses, some of the courses are under Choice Based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS) and PG courses are under Credit and Semester System (CSS) of the affiliating university. Therefore, the students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams.

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
The college Unit NSS Wing performs a different type of social services within and outside of the area
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
