Tripura Medical College and Dr. B R A M Teaching Hospital (TMC&BRAM), Tripura was established in 2006.

The College is affiliated to Tripura University.

The College performed the first Bi-Lateral total Hip Replacement with MOM (Metal on Metal) Operation thus adding another first to its repertoire of ‘firsts” in the Medical History of Tripura.

The first time the Bi-lateral Total Hip Replacement was performed not only in Tripura but in the entire east of India and this extremely complicated operation was performed by a surgeon of national repute Dr Rakesh Rajput.

The College goal is goal is to provide excellent graduate learning experience to outstanding students to become tomorrow’s health care leaders, educators and researchers. All the departments in the college are well equipped with excellent group of faculties.

The College has 500 bedded general hospital facilitated with all modern equipments.
