Toonzwebel Academy (TWA), Kolkata was established in 2006.

It is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal implemented through its nodal agency West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL) responsible for the promotion of IT and ITeS industries in the state.

The institute aims to harness and showcase the creative talent of India on the global Animation map and to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of professionally trained talents.

And to accomplish this objective, the academy is relentless in its mission to select, train and develop students to compete successfully in the global Animation market as the Complete Animation Professionals.

The state of the art academy has an international faculty comprising veterans from the animation industry.

The institute is managed by Toonz Animation and the Webel Agency of West Bengal. The Academy conducts animation training programs including diploma courses in 2D and 3D Animations. Having a vast network of industrial relations, Toonz-Webel Academy provides assistance to successful candidates to find suitable positions in reputed organizations.

Throughout the programme, students get the personal attention of experienced faculty and the resources needed to immerse oneself in projects and assignments.
