The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (TIPWE), New Delhi was established in 1967.
The Institute is playing a vital role in disseminating and sharing of technical knowledge amongst railway men regarding design construction and maintenance of permanent way, bridges and other structures amongst various Railwaymen.
The institute promotes and arranges seminars, lectures, discussions, an exhibition etc. for the information and benefit of the members of the institute and also publishes and circulates technical information to facilitate interchange and sharing of ideas.
