Thavathiru Santhalinga Adigalar Arts and Science College, Coimbatore was established in 1953-54. The College is affiliated to Chennai University & later it affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Since 1953.

The college gave importance to develop the Tamil Language, and it gave importance to music and drama. On behalf of Golden Jublie, Perur Adigalar, ordered "Muthamil" to be a part of Degree courses.

Thavathiru Santhalinga Ramasamy Adigalar who worked as secretary and principal of Tamil college become the head of the institution. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Thavathiru Santhalinga Adigalar Arts and Science College in its various departments.

VISION

To motivate, inspire the true potential of rural youth and help them become integral part of the nation’s development by providing them a holistic education in diverse fields.

MISSION

To promote the college into an institution of excellence, to serve the rural youth by providing them with easy access to higher education and job opportunities and to deliver the knowledge and skills envisaged in various programs through innovative teaching and participatory learning.
