Swami Vivekanand College of Education, Patiala was established by Shri Raghu Nath Rai Memorial Educational & Charitable Trust, Mohali.

The College is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by NCTE, Jaipur and Government of Punjab.

The Trust is founded by a group of well-known educationists, who have made significant contributions in the field of Education in the region.

The trust is managed by a Governing Body headed by Shri Ashwani Garg, Chairman and Shri Ashok Garg, President of the Trust, well known educationist.

The Principal, Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, a renowned academician who has vast experience of working in premier institutions.

The Management intends to provide a quality and value based education to the prospective teachers.

It is the aim of the trust to help the persons belonging to the weaker sections of the society in the field of education, especially in the rural areas.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Swami Vivekanand College of Education, Patiala in its various departments.
