Subham College of Education, Kanchipuram is affiliated by University of Madras and approved by NCTE.

SUBHAM COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University came into being in 2005. The college was started by Umra Kavar Educational Trust, not as a commercial venture for the glory of a particular family or community but to produce quality teaching community by providing quality pedagogical education to the prospective teachers. The college offers M.Ed program from the academic year 2009 - 2010. The Trust runs a D.T.Ed., institution and a CBSE School.

The chairman of this reputed self financing institution is Mr.S.D.Manoharkumar, son of Dharmachand Sowkar, who had started Sowbagmal Sowkkar Girls Higher Secondary School in 1971 to promote the education of girls in Madurantakam, The Umra Kavar Educational Trust is serving the society through education, awareness programmes on social issues, charitable work, etc. It is by the noble aspiration, meticulous calculation and innovative execution of good plans of Umra Kavar Educational Trust, Subham College of Education, a temple of learning marches successfully every year towards progress.

The College offers Bachelor of Education course for those who have passed graduation with minimum aggregate of 45 % from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the University.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Subham College of Education in its various departments.

The college has well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms with all modern facilities. The institute has well maintained library with wide range of books collection and journals.
