St. Xavier’s College, Kothavara was established in 1981.

The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.

It has been managed by St. Xavier’s Church Kothavara.

The college brightened the prospect of higher education in Vaikom taluk and slowly a social and cultural evolution started banishing the dark cloud of illiteracy ignorance, superstition etc.

The college executive committee has taken upon themselves the responsibility of providing amenities to the students in the college and to assist the college administration for the proper running of the college.
