St.Xavier's Catholic Teacher Training Institute, Muttom was established in 2009 and got recognition from NCTE and affiliated to The Director of Teacher Education Research and Training. Chennai.

The College is managed under The R.C Diocese Of Kottar.

St.Xavier's Catholic Teacher Training Institute was started on 20.07.2009 with due recognition from NCTE (No.F.SRO/NCTE / D.T.Ed / 2009 /13564 dt. 02-06-2009) and affiliated to The Director of Teacher Education Research and Training Chennai RC.No. 6759 / 02 / 2009 Date. 20.06.2009.

MOTTO

The motto of the College is Arise! Shine!. This motto points to the awakening and the fulfillment of dreams of the poor and the marginalized in the District. The Educational Institution aims imparting Educational training for good and value based teachers, so that through them the poor and the marginalized will Arise from ignorance and poverty and Shine as human persons with dignity and honour.

To motivate the students to take interest in social causes in view of a better world without distinction of caste, creed and class.

• Toenable them to relate all knowledge and involvements to this social task.

• To provide an integral and all-round formation.

• To give quality education and to develop a taste for excellence so as to impart such a standard education when opportunity arises.
