St. Thomas College of Teacher Education, Pala was established in 1957 as one of the pioneer institutions in the field of teacher education. The college is the one of the best teacher education institution to be re-accredited with A grade by NAAC (National Assessment Accreditation Council 2014) in the state of Kerala.
