St. Cyril's College belongs to the corporate management of the Malankara Orthodox Church colleges.

Founded in 1981 the college is named after St. Cyrill the great Saint of Alexandria.

Their Holiness Baselius Marthoma Mathews I, the then Catholicos, laid the foundation stone on 5th October 1981.

Their Grace Mathews Mar Coorilose is the founder manager of the college.

Their commendable inslight into and the deep devotion to the cause of higher education has been the main shrine of quite a large number of educationals institutions in Kerala.

At present their Grace Mathews Mar Epiphasiose Metropolitan of the Kollam Diocese is the manager of the College.
