Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC), Chittoor was established in 1996.

SVEC is one of the largest Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and the first of its kind in Rayalaseema. The college is accorded autonomous Status by the UGC, New Delhi.

Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College was established in 1996. Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College is among the largest and prestigious institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College has been granted autonomous and Potential for Excellence status by the University Grant Commission (UGC). The college is affiliated with JNTU Ananthapuramu and approved by AICTE and has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. In 2020, the college secured 184 rank in National Institution Ranking FrameWork (NIRF).

The college offers over courses under two streams including Engineering and IT & Software. The top courses offered by the SVEC include BTech, MTech, and MCA. These courses are offered through 11 departments including Basic Sciences and Humanities, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The campus of the college is spread across an area of 30 acres surrounded by sylvan with ravishingly built infrastructure.

The prime objective of the college is to be one of the nation’s premier engineering colleges by achieving the highest order of excellence in teaching and research.
