Smt.Savitri College of Education, Trichy was established in 2005 by eminent educationalist Prof.B.Sivaramakrishnan, Chairman, Sri Sankara Educational & Charitable Trust,Trichy,Tamilnadu. The Trust, pioneer in education running varioius professional institutions in Trichy, Tamilnadu and Tripura, one of the North Eastern States in India.

It is a Co – Educational Institution and it has obtained NOC from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college has also secured recognition from NCTE, Southern Regional Committee, Bangalore and been Affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Trichy.

The College is located on NH 45 at Sannasipatti near Chathirapatti and at a distance of about 11 Kms from Tiruchirappalli, a city well known for its education industrial development and connecctivity to all parts of the state. The college is constructed in a rural area with a quiet and pollution free campus.

Well equipped laboratories for physical Science, Biological Science, Computer Science, Language and Psychology are available. A well furnished library with more than 3000 books are available.
