Smt.S.R.Mehta Arts College, Ahmedabad was established in 1995.

formally known as Navgujarat Arts College in honor of the philanthropist Smt.Shushilaben of Mumbai.

Today the college has student strength of 1500 students.

A firm belief in value based education and deep sense of social commitment has been the hallmark of the college.

The main aim of the college is to provide quality and value based higher education irrespective of caste, creed or religion, to provide higher education to students from lower economic strata, to contribute the all round development of this section of society and to inculcate a civic sense in the students and help them grow into good citizens.
