SM College, Chandausi was established in 1908 as a High Schoolin the memory of Late Sahu Shyamsundar by his mother Late Mrs Tulsa Devi and his wife Late Rani Ramkali, KIH.

The College is affiliated to MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.

The College imparts graduation and postgraduation education in arts, science and commerce streams.

The College also runs vocational and teachers training courses.

The College is recognized for teachers training courses by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), Jaipur.

The College has also been rated as B Grade institution by Bangalore-based National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
