Sindhi College of Commerce, Bengaluru Urban was established on 19th August 2002, under the aegis of Sindhi Seva Samiti, a philanthropic organization managed by the Sindhis with, “service to human kind” as their motto and was inaugurated by Sri. L.K. Advani and Sri. S.M. Krishna.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education offering post-secondary education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.24 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) in 21st February 2014.

It is located at Hebbal in Kempapura in a campus area of approximately two acres shared with Sindhi High School. Today the college has grown into an institution offering quality higher education to over 2300 students.

During the last few years, the college has seen phenomenal growth in terms of the courses offered, quality enhancement, student and staff strength and infrastructure.

The college strives to tune the quality of education to the needs of sociocultural systems and ensure maximum utilization of the state-of-the-art technology.

The main aim is to provide education at an affordable cost and so this is one of the most sought colleges in North Bengaluru because of its uncompromising quality and its will to serve and sustain against all odds.

The college offers three UG programmes namely B.Com, BBM, and BCA. There are 24 permanent members of teaching staff, out of which four are Ph.D. holders, threes pursuing their Ph.D., 7 M.Phil holders, 2NET Qualified and one SLET qualified persons and the remaining to have PG as their highest qualification.

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus

The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
