Shri Shiva Degree College, Azamgarh was established in 1965. The College is affiliated to Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The College, since their inception is making great endeavour in the upliftment of education level in the surrounding areas. The college Management of the college is continuously making efforts for the betterment of education to their students. The College runs different courses in Art's Stream which includes Graduate and Post Graduate courses. To give their contribution in the field of Education to boys and girls of the society.

The College has trained Faculty members to give quality education to their students. Apart from regular academic courses many other courses and facilities are provided by the college.

Thiru Kaptanganj Azamgarh, Sri Shiv Degree college was established in the year 1965 when there was a lack of educational institutions in this area. The college is located on Azamgarh-Faizabad National Highway, 18 KM from Azamgarh, at a quiet place away fom clamor.

In the establishment of this college, two personalities, late Vishnu Dutt Mishra, founder member and late god pandey, have been a special contributor. Due to its discipline and quality of education, this college has a special place in the district. The college is run by Sri Shiva Degree College Education Association Therhi.
