Shri Sangameshwar Arts & Commerce College, Chadachan (Dist. Vijayapura) was established on 15th June 1973 under the management of Sangameshwar Shikshan Samstha.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

It is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 31st May 1989 & 12(B) on 10th March 1992 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B++" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.83 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 5th November 2016.

The college aims to educate the Rural poor and the Backward class students of the Border State and to equip them with skills required for the Competitive World to bring metamorphosis in their lives.

Shree Sangameshwar Arts and Commerce College envisions itself as a part of the vision of A.P.J Abdul Kalam of a strong and united India-2020. It symbolizes to carry the burden to provide the best education to the future leaders of the country. It is a learning hub that resolves to provide quality education blended with requisite professional ethics and work culture.

The college offers two level BA, BCA, B.Com, & BSW and two PG level M.Com and MSW self-financing courses to meet the changing needs of the society/ youth also optional courses like Computer application and Arts stream.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students in its various departments. The college has well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms with all modern facilities.
