Shri Surat Jilla Sahakari Bank Commerce College & Shri Sayan Sahakari Khand Udhyog Arts College, Olpad was established on 1st July 1991. It is Grant-in-Aid college, Managed by Shri Pramodbhai Kanayalal Desai Kelavany Mandal, Olpad.

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 18th October 2002 under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.46 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 16th September 2008.

The institute is the only one of its kind offering higher education at undergraduate level the courses i.e. B.Com. (Accountancy), B.A. (Gujarati & History) and Post graduate level M.A. (Gujarati) and M.Com. (Financial Management and Accounting) with students total strength of 1700.

About Shri Surat Jilla Sahkari Bank Commerce College, Olpad:

Shri Surat Jilla Sahkari Bank Commerce College, Olpad was established in 1993 managed under Olpad Taluka Azad Din Smarak Kelavani Mandal. Then, arose the need of higher education.

Being located in a backward area, it was not possible for all the students to reach a far place like Surat and pursue higher education. This Herculean task was taken up by the freedom fighter and leader, a visionary and sage Late Shri Pramodbhai K. Desai freedom fighter and elder brother of Ex. Chief Minister Shri Hitendrabhai Desai. He has sacrificed his whole life to serve the common people and he has been considered as the father of the co-operative sector of Gujarat state.

With him united the other visionaries and farmers under the separate trust of Shri P.K. Desai Kelavni Mandal. They planted a tree of knowledge in the waste land which was donated by a philanthropist farmer under the separate trust of Shri P.K. Desai Kelavani Mandal located at Shri Surat Jilla Sahakari Spinning Mill Vidhyasankul, Hathisa Road, Olpad.

The first effort of this institution was the materialization of the Higher Educational institution viz. Shri S.J.S.B. Commerce College and Shri S.S.K.U. Arts College, Olpad.

Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institute provides the training facility like- face to face interview, resume making, communication skills, that help the students to face the campus recruitment
For every course, the college imparts practical training to its students that helps them to understand better, improve their demonstrative skills, eliminate hesitation and in this process strives to mold them into industry ready professionals
The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
