Shiv Nadar University (SNU), Noida was established in 2011 and is a private philanthropic institution established by the Shiv Nadar Foundation in an act of the State of Uttar Pradesh.

Shiv Nadar University is an international, multi-disciplinary research university. Shiv Nadar University has partnered with Carnegie Mellon University, Duke University, Babson College, University of Essex and Annenberg University. 

Shiv Nadar University is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, research-focused, and student-centric University offering a full range of academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.
