Sheikh-ul-Alam College of Education, Kashmir was established in 2002.

in the memory of Patron-Saint of Kashmir Sheikh Noor-u-D in Noorani (RA) known world over for his piety, tolerance and philanthropic teachings.

The College is temporarily affiliated to NAAC accredited grade "A" University of Kashmir.

The college campus is surrounded by lush green Himalayas decorated with evergreen cedar trees and endowed with an ideal and picturesque topography.

The College has a very rich library with varied books on teacher education, literature and general items.

The college has a good play field for different sports activities.

The College is housed in a spacious concrete building. Experienced and well-qualified lecturers, enthusiastic and dedicated to their profession are on the staff on the college
