Sheikh Hamza College of Education and Training, Kashmir was established in 2001.

The college is affiliated to University of Kashmir Srinagar in 2002.

The college is managed by Bright Educational Service Society.

The college offers Bachelor of Education in four optional subjects, namely Population Education, Physical and Health Education, Educational Guidance and Counselling and Special Education in addition to core courses.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Sheikh Hamza College Of Education and Training.

Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the University.
