Set Group of Educational Institutions (SGEI), Chennai was established in 1930.

Its affiliated to VIsveswarya technical university.

The college is managed by Seshadripuram Educational Trust.

It runs 26 educationali ranging from Kindergarten to Ph.D Courses comprising of 7 schools, 6 pre-university colleges, 6 degree colleges, 1 law college and 6 other independent institutes.

Each institution has a governing council, betterment committee or advisory council headed by a trustee which looks after all the matters related to academic and administrative matters.

The vision of the institute is to constantly strive towards meeting this social need by inclusion and expansion of newer streams of education in its institutions and provide world class infrastructure for learning, research and application of knowledge.
