Semiliguda College, Semiliguda was established in 1985 by some eminent social workers who believed in freedom, civil rights & importance of Higher Education for the distressed and down-trodden tribals whose hopes & aspirations were trampled underfoot.

The college is affiliated to Berhampur University, Berhampur and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) Act, 1956. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade in 2013.

It is situated in one of the most backward area of the state and is a non-sectarian, co-educational college with special commitments to academic rigor and to assuring in all of its efforts the dignity of each individual and access to its programs and opportunities by qualified learners.

It is located in between two gaint public sector undertakings Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Sunabeda and National Aluminium Company Limited, Damanjodi. It is located by the side of National Highway 26, in a beautiful ecofriendly environment at Semiliguda.

Semiliguda College prizes both the inherent values of a demanding education and the profound usefulness of learning, teaching and understanding.

With its stellar location and vibrant student life and devoted faculty Semiliguda College is devoted to under graduate education in Arts and Commerce and commitment to teaching and excellence is central to its mission. The college is recognised for its inclusive social character, there are no fraternities or sororities and student organisations are open to all.

The college offers two years Higher Secondary Courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under and three years Degree Courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under Berhampur University, Berhampur. It also offers some Career Oriented Courses / Add On Course.

  • The college has been trying to start NCC from last few years under centrally sponsored scheme subject to the permission of the Directorate but not yet. But to hope for it
