Selvam College of Technology (SCT), Namakkal was established in 2006. It is affiliated to Anna University and approved by Anna University.

V.Ponnusamy Educational and charitable trust got established by Dr.P.Selvaraj an Ideal Industrialist and Philanthropist in 2000 in the fond memory of his late father V.Ponnusamy to impart quality education, to establish epicenter of excellence in learning and research will blossom into an institution par excellence.

SCT Offers 6 Undergraduate Departments such as Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Bio-Technology and 6 Post Graduate Courses such as Computer Science and Engineering, Applied Electronics, Electronics & Drives and Engineering Design, Computer Applications and Management Studies.

In order to empower individuals to confidently interact globally through that one vital link language – “ENGLISH”. We have started a communicative English course with the help of The Institute of Language Management, Bangalore to improve the quality of Communicative English of students.

SCT is granted with Zone VIII approved Nodal Centre, IIT Bombay, Remote centre and Akash project by ministry of human resource and development, India. Initiated a International Bimonthly Journal called as International Journal of Innovative research in Engineering science and Technology with an ISSN No 2320-981X.In order to foster research and development doctoral research is initiated in mechanical engineering, Physics and Master of Computer Applications.
