Scad College of Education, Tirunelveli was established in 2006.

Scad College of Education, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore. It is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. The college offers one year B.Ed., Degree Course with an intake of 100 students.

Scad College of Education is managed under SCAD (Social Change and Development) Trust which is a charitable organization. It is a co-educational residential self financing institution.

The College was structured by Shri. Cletus Babu, (Chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions) inspired by Smt. Amali Cletus. Being a dedicated educationist and socialist, he started the college with healthy campus environment, modern amenities, latest infrastructures and well qualified faculty in order to provide better teacher Education. The College is successfully stepping into 6th year.
