Sant Hira Dass Kanya Maha Vidyalaya came into existence in 1986 sfter the name of great saint, freedom fighter and social reformer ‘Sant Hira Dass Ji.'

The saint raised voice against social evils and injustice towards girls.

And to keep alive the efforts of saint , some like - minded people gathered together and strated this institution ‘An Oasis in a Desert .'

They formed a committee and educational society.

As college is not getting any government aid , the like minded people who either reside in this area or live in abroad generate the funds.

This instituition not only caters the need of the education but also fulfils the cultural,religious and moral values.

It is matter of great pride that this institution which had initially started with paltry strength of mere 56 students has now above 900 students on its rolls.

The college has earned its name and fame after affliation int the short spane of less than twelve years in the field of academic,sports,culture activities and social services.
