Samsi College(SC), Malda was established in 1968.

The objective of the college is to promote the all round development of the students and form an educative and concerned community.

Besides being conveniently located, the excellent infrastructure of the campus generates an ideal ambiance for studies.

The college offers a wide choice of undergraduate courses both at honours and general level in disciplines of Arts.

The college is recognized by UGC under 2(f) & 12(b).The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The College comes under the Gour Banga University, established in 2008 and situated in Malda District.

The University was started with a mission to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the region.

This is a State University established under the West Bengal Act XXVI 0f 2007.

The University Campus is situated at Malda which is a historic town of undivided Bengal, previously known as “GOUR”.
