Saifia College of Education, Bhopal was a minority college established in May 1958 managed under Saifia Education Society (R).

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Barkatullah University, Bhopal. It is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi & Govt. of Madhya Pradesh (M.P.) to offer B.Ed. course.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

It is a co-educational self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Bhopal played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

Since their inception as a primary school (Madarsa) the institution flourished into a degree college and subsequently into a PG College with Research facilities.

The society has the Honour of producing more than 200 PhDs amongst thousands and thousands of graduates, Postgraduates, Research Scholars and teachers in the field of Science, Arts, Commerce, Education, and Law.

The then Consul General of US Consulate personally visited the college and presented the gifts of books etc on behalf of American Center. The college received US Grant for Research project under the PL 480.

The project was successfully completed and one of their faculty members (Coordinator) was invited to the United States for further interaction with American University.

The college also received the many achievements awards in the field of Teacher Training at Barkatullah University, Bhopal.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) courses for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled to a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

The college offers two years Master of Education (M.Ed.) course for those who have completed their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the graduation level. University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Barkatullah University, Bhopal and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
