The College is managed under Saraswathi Educational & Health Trust, Chennai established by dedicated and dynamic personalities with the noble cause of providing employment opportunity to the youth and to prepare them professionally competent and committed teachers in this back ward area.

SMR Teacher Training Institute is a unique self-financing Teacher Training Institute in Tamil Nadu.

The Institute has obtained NO Objection Certificate from the State Government of Tamil Nadu and from the inspection of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.

The aim of the Trust is to produce sincere, hard-working, dedicated and competent primary and elementary school teachers who can try new innovative thinking and practices in their class rooms.

The Institute will aim at producing learner-friendly teachers who can harness the available resources in the community.

The Institute promises to render service to student population from lower state of the society in this area and faster a high standard of education by a team of dedicated and experienced faculty members at all levels.
