S.B.V.R.College of Education, Kadapa was established in 1984-85.

The college is affiliated to Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa & recognized by National Council For Technical Education (NCTE). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college.

Badvel and Sidhout Higher Education Committee started and managed the college in the Badvel town. Late Sri Bijivemula Veera Reddy, former Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister of Andhra Pradesh founded this college. The college is built on a 10 acre land which consists of 15054 Sq.ft of built–up area. The college is surrounded by amiable environment with plush green gardens.

S.B.V.R College of Education is one of the oldest and best colleges of Education in Rayalaseema Region. It well known for its academic standards and values. The college has been investing its time and efforts towards producing competent teachers who could bring the much required academic revolution and change in the society.
