RVS College of Engineering and Technology was established in 1985.

This college is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirapalli.

College is one of the earliest self-financing, non-minority colleges in Tamilnadu by the RVS Educational Trust in.

It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and Recognized by UGC under 2F. The College is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. It offers 10 UG Courses, 9 PG Courses, MBA, MCA and Full time Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering and Information & Communication Engineering. Its main objective is to provide technical education of high standard to the young aspirants in the remote areas of Tamilnadu to pursue engineering education. RVS Educational Trust has widened its horizon from Technical Education to all popular disciplines including Medicine and Agriculture with more than 110 institutions under its fold. The Trust has provided infrastructure of very high quality facilitating the students to comprehend engineering subjects and acquire the required skills for their career. The College is situated 8 Kms from Dindigul town on the Karur road via Gujiliamparai.
