Royal Academy for Technical Education (RATE), Bangalore was established in 2006.

The Institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

This college is registered under the Directorate of Technical Education (Government of Karnataka) and is run by the Nagappa Educational Trust. RATE is a premier front line training centre in the field of engineering.
