Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, South Goa was established on 20th June 1990 by the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman. It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide a platform in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the path of progress.

The college is affiliated to Goa University, North Goa and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 16th January 2002 under Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade with CGPA Score of 3.21 on a 4 point scale in the year 2011.

The college owes its inception to the magnanimous initiative of Late Rev. Can. Jose Roberto Vaz, who was then the Parish Priest of Rosary Church. The college is managed by the Diocesan Society of Education and is a minority institution under article 30(1) of the Indian Constitution.

Rosary College has been built by the Fabrica of Nossa Senhora do Rosario, Navelim, almost entirely with the proceeds of the sale of properties belonging to the Fabrica, Confraria de Nossa Senhora do Rosario and Confraria do Santissimo Sacramento.

The college has made strident progress in the last 23 years and very recently a new, fully independent and self-sufficient wing has been constructed due to the initiative of the present Principal Rev. Dr. Simao R. Diniz.

The new wing, which became fully functional from the academic year 2012-13, was constructed on account of a gamut of new courses introduced to keep pace with the burgeoning requirements of the industry.

Rosary College of Commerce and Arts has helped many students live their dreams! Right from its genesis, Rosary College has constantly endeavored to reach the acme against all odds and this is what positions it in a league of its own and makes it a true harbinger of positive change in society.

The college offers three years undergraduate program in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) & Bachelor of Commerce affiliated with Goa University, North Goa. It also offers some career-oriented & self-financing courses.

The IGNOU Study Center at Rosary College was established in September 2015.The Study Centre offers PG Courses in MCA (Master of Computer Applications), MTM (Master in Tourism Management) besides the MA programs in Economics, Sociology, and History, and a Certificate Course in Tourism Studies.

The center has enrolled a large number of students in the various programs. The MCA program has seen a steep increase in enrollment with students from all over Goa and neighboring states. There are over 20 subject experts registered as the counselor that engage sessions on weekends.

The college offers the best environment conducive for learning, augmented with state-of-the-art support infrastructure.

The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college
A hygienic and well-maintained canteen is provided for all students and staff within the campus.
The college has a state of the art computer center with a campus-wide LAN network facility all interconnected with a 100Mbps Ethernet connectivity
Internet facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
A multipurpose Auditorium complex with facilities for large meetings, cultural programs, and indoor sports activities is under construction and is also being partially used for those purposes
The college has a large playground, Basket Ball court and facilities and equipment for different sports like Cricket, football, Volleyball, Hockey, badminton, Table tennis and so on
State Government and the Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this Raging is strictly prohibited
The institute provides the training facility like- face to face interview, resume making, communication skills, that help the students to face the campus recruitment
For every course, the college imparts practical training to its students that helps them to understand better, improve their demonstrative skills, eliminate hesitation and in this process strives to mold them into industry ready professionals
The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
