Ranippettai Engineering College (REC), Vellore was established in 1999.

This college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi & Government of Tamilnadu, affiliated to the Anna University,

The college was established by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Educational Trust with bachelor degree courses in Engineering. The trust with the motto of "excellence through hard work” extends enough support and guidance for the cruising development of the Institutions to attain excellence in all spheres of engineering.

The aim of college is to provide everyone, a conducive environment suitable to achieve the individual's career goals with a strong emphasis in a disciplined, professional, innovative career and to offer the resources to gain quality education in all spheres of Engineering.
