Rana pratap Degree College was established in 1971.

Its affiliated to Avadh University

With the aim of imparting such education that may develop human values- discipline ,patience, devotion adherence, verity, self reliance , and self confidence, renowned Advocate Late Sri Bechu Singh & Late Sri Ram Sahai Singh with their indomitable will and co-operation of Kshatriya Educational Society laid the foundation of Rana Pratap Degree College in 1971.

Sri Ram Sahai Singh enkindled the flame of learning in Sultanpur as the first president of the college and Sri Narsingh Pal struggled as the Manager of the college in its provenance and made the light spread in remote countryside. Presently the college is celebrating its 35th year under the prudent guidance of advocate Sanjai Singh as President and Shubh Narain Singh as Manager.

Rana Pratap Post Graduate College is situated at the heart of the town Sultanpur . River Gomati flows in its northern side. It is the telling the tale of incessant stream of learning.

P.W.D. Inspection House is in the vicinity of our college. Railway station and Bus stop are also not further from here. It is neither near nor far from the sound and fury of the urban area. Tranquil and verdant atmosphere of the college fetches the ambition of Stephen leacock for quiet college.
