Established in 2006, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy, Trikaripur was established with a clear vision of making it a world-class premier organization for professional education.

The Rajiv Gandhi Educational and Charitable Society (Regd.), established during 2004 with an objective of promoting educational and charitable services.

The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur and it was recognized & approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

By 2008 about 1300 graduates pass out every year from the pharmacy Institutions. Even though the pharmaceutical industry has not grown in Kerala the graduates find the suitable place in pharmaceutical industries outside the state or in abroad and in hospital environments the graduate who pass out from Kerala are well absorbed in important posts in Gulf countries also.

The institution is located at Trikarpur in Kasaragod district. The campus is spread over 3.5 acres of land with panoramic views of lush gardens. The magnanimous building with a built-up area of about 46000 Sq.fet is well equipped with spacious laboratories, qualified faculties, classrooms, well-furnished library, modern equipment, teaching aids and other facilities as prescribed by All India Council for Technical Educations and Pharmacy Council of India. The premise is meant for development of knowledge-based education.
