Rajendra Prasad Degree College, Bareilly was established in 1968.

The college is managed by late Dhaiam Dutt Vaidya - Freedom Fighter and Honble Health Minister in the then State Congress Government.

The College was started due to the fact that most of the younger generation of this area was in dearth of higher education and they desperately needed an institution to cope with the problems.

Formerly it was affiliated to Agra University, Agra and later it got affiliation by Rohilkhand University, Bareilly in 1975.

The college was recognized by University Grants Commission, New Delhi uader 2(0 on 15-05-69.

The college management body has been registered under Society Registration Act, 1960 vide Registration No. B-534/2005-06.

The Managing Committee constituted as per rules is also duly approved by the Vice-Chancellor of M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.The college is imparting Co-education at Graduate level and Post-Graduate level.
