The R.R. Engineering College, Namakkal was started in 2001.

It is affiliated to Anna University.

The college is located in the village of KUCHIPALAYAM in a spacious area of 50 acres, 10 kms from ERODE and to the right side of the Erode - Triuchengode State Highway.

The college comes under "AARTHI EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST" which has been founded by Thiru. R. Srinivasan, BBM, MISTE, Managing Trustee.

He is young and eminent philanthropist-par-excellence in the Temple city of Tiruchengode. Aarthi Educational and Charitable Trust was formed in the year 1997. To start with, a Polytechnic in the name and style of "Aarthi Polytechnic" was started in the same year 1997.

The college has excellent curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular facilities.The management has spent crores and crores of rupees for construction of buildings and to equip laboratories.
